Eczema is a common condition where the skin becomes inflamed, red, thickened and with a rash. It is caused by irritants which may include foods, stress, weather changes, woollen clothing, perfumes and chemicals. Excessive contact with water and irritation from soaps and detergents, infections, overheating and genetics can also be factors.
Flare-ups are managed with topical corticosteroids and sufferers with mild to moderate eczema can be supplied treatment from our accredited Pharmacist. To be eligible, the person must be over 3 months, not pregnant or breastfeeding and not currently unwell or have fever.
Our accredited Pharmacist can offer you a consultation and eczema management options, not previously available without a prescription. Book an appointment here or come in store Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays or Saturdays.
Treatments are only supplied under the Pharmacist's discretion. Consultations are not funded so incur a charge. In addition, any medication supplied at the consultation is an extra charge to the consultation fee.
This consultation needs to be done in person in the pharmacy.
