NeilMed Sinus Rinse sachets are made up with water to make a saline solution that can be delivered into the nose to clear the nasal passages and sinus congestion due to allergies, hayfever, sinusitis, colds and flu.
Sodium Chloride and Sodium Bicarbonate mixture
To be used with a NeilMed bottle. Fill the clean bottle with the designated volume of lukewarm boiled and cooled water. Place the contents of one sachet into the bottle and shake to dissolve. Standing over a sink, bend forward and tilt your head down; with your mouth open, place the top of the bottle against the inside of your nose. Squeeze the bottle gently until the solution starts draining from the other nostril. Keep squeezing until at least a quarter to half the bottle is used.
Blow your gently. If you can, sniff in gently to clean out the back of your nasal passage. Repeat into the other nostril. Clean the bottle and cap and allow to dry.
Use the bottle only for one person, sharing may spread infection. If congestion persists, please see your doctor. Do not use if your nasal passages are completely blocked, if you have an ear infection or blocked ears. Check with your doctor before using after ear or sinus surgery and discontinue use if you experience pressure in the ears or burning in the nasal passages.
